Oh goodness..

I am simply awestruck by how this song would fit extremely well for anything horror! Sad thing is that I'm currently looking for someting that isn't horror... Doesn't lower the score though, as this would be GREAT for anything down horror street! Well, might only be my opinion, though.

As this is quick, let's not be TOO harsh.

But honestly, it needs an intro, it needs more work, and the only thing that made this catchy was the kick that supported the main chorus, which was actually made before hand.

Good call on the kick, the chorus wasn't actually your idea, but it's still performed quite well, so that's a tiny plus. Needs a beginning, needs a slower end, perhaps could be stretched out to be a bit longer, DEFINITELY not worth the current rating, but.. it's not horrible.

Just put some more work into it, please.

Don't thank God for your rating..

Thank the people who rate you for the good ratings. Thank yourself for making this awesome track. You composed it, and therefore we give you good ratings. It's you who decide whether this track will be good or not. I'm not christian, but I'd say that "God pushed you in the direction, but you made the song. God helps you with getting started and keeping going, while you help yourself actually coming up with it and making it sound as good as it did." Don't give God all the credits. Great job. This might get d/l'ed as soon as I get home :)

Actually, you're right about most of this, and I agree. It's a credit/glory thing, where credit goes to us and glory to Him. It's mostly that I thank Him for empowering me to do these things and for allowing them to happen. Thanks for reviewing!

.. Honestly..

I can't take this serious after I've heard the apple fanboy thing... It's as if rubberducky(lol) made these vocals... It's almost nullified as everything is done so well, though.

This hasn't gotten enough attention.

Seems really good although I'm not a huge fan of the garage-metal guitar the feeling gives me. That however is not a thing about your song, that's my opinion and feelings around the guitar.

I feel this song loops really well, but I think that maybe the transition to the metal part could've been just a tad bit better? I like the sound of the piano and the way you've put all of this together. Also, well played guitar and other actual instruments is a plus.

If I listen REALLY close to it I notice that the drums might fall a bit behind, but it's no big thing, and it's extremely difficult to notice. Shame it doesn't get that much attention, and that people rate it so low.
All together, not bad. This might just be the my feelings for the guitar, so I'm not gonna let this affect the final score, but it feels kinda incomplete somehow. Again, might just be how I find the guitar :)

The drums were kinda in the background and I think they could've been played around with a bit more. Not entirely sure, but lowering the bass just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit might make it a little bit easier to listen to? Just knitpick, though.

Warhector responds:

Thank you much for the comment :) even though you didn't feel it with the guitar im thankful :D i'm considering your responds and suggestions:)

... Song's in parts=Review's in parts =)

I like the pace and the sounds every now and again. This could sound a lot like something one could hear as a menu title to some sci-fi game or anything like that I think as the sounds are interesting and the sounds in there would fit it(imo).

03:16-04:52
The sounds get even more interesting and come in a higher number, and it feels kinda like some form for build-up to a "next phase" or part. I really like
the transition, which isn't too harsh or too soon at all.

04:53-06:17
I am absolutely IN LOVE with this part. It's just so soft, yet interesting rather than boring.
00:00-06:17[Overall]
Altogether it could sound like there are more parts or perhaps even more songs within this song. They still somehow fit enough to not make it too sudden or simply reject each other. The transitions to the next parts are quite subtle and you have to be in the next phase before you even realized the line has been crossed and you're not in the same part of the song anymore. Some say this song could've been shorter, but I don't know if I agree as it kinda seems like it pretty much gives it the charm.

Compared to some of the other stuff I've heard from you this isn't as difficult to understand and is therefore might sound way better for everyone, rather than the few who actually try to understand/get used to the music. I don't really see music as art or do drugs(lol). I just really, really like music and try to like as much as I can, although the process is slow. This song seems like it's less difficult to like/understand as there are less sounds that might or might not be composed in a way that is kind of hard to make sense out of for some, perhaps even most people. I think that's just a good thing as it might attract more listeners as it seems more "available to everyone".

Again with the longer reviews, but I like writing long reviews. Keep doing your thing, good sir. I like it. Both the confusing stuff and this kind of stuff. Somehow hoping all of this doesn't come out to be all rubbish :P

InvisibleObserver responds:

I agree with your notions of the songs more accessible nature. I'm very slowly working on a dance-ish album at the moment, and as such it makes sense for there to be a more likeable nature to it. This songs due for a large order/progression over-haul.

As for how you feel about music not being art, I'm assuming you miss typed or forgot a keyword. Music and products can be machinated in a form that is not particularly artistic seeming, but that doesn't make something not artistic to everyone. Similarily in the inverse. People have a lot of difficulties seperating something that is likeable from something not likeable from not artistic and the artistic.

More over, the notions of art and creativity are generally sibling words, and used synonymously. My opinion is that to be creative is easily perceived or self declared, where as artistic merit really is for an individual to judge. IE: I'm certainly creative, but when it comes to being artistic, others can choose that for themselves.

And I don't mind long reviews at all.

Hmmm

One day you should take most of these short tunes and mix'em up into a huge ball of envy-awesome :D Really, these short ones end up sounding too short, yet really good!

lol

Felt like just being a troll going "THIS IS NOT DUBSTEP" buuuut it wouldn't be worth it. Besides. You give loads of free music. Trolling wouldn't be the right way to thank you for that.

Hehh.....Hmmmmm,,,

This is song is really, really weird.. I usually don't think of weird in a bad way. It sounds creative(yes, SOUNDS creative... way to express oneself... It's 4 AM and I have a fever, don't judge.) I guess the haters are pretty much hating because they don't understand the music. I probably don't fully understand it, but I like it, and I'm curious to see more of this. This is interesting and attracting in a weird way.

Uncertain as to whether to give this a 9 or a 10, but I guess I'll go with a 10 for now as I don't fully understand it, and I'll probably regret it if I later understand it and find out it was better than I thought through the 4-5 first listens.

I can imagine seeing something like this in a some sort of indie game. Most probably puzzle or a something of the sort.

I guess you'll hear more from me in both past and future posts? lol, I'm not even sure if that made sense, but things don't have to make sense, right? Doubt I'm going to dl this, but it was worth the listen, and I'll most probably tune back into this as it was really interesting. Have a nice day :)

InvisibleObserver responds:

Really enjoyed reading this review.

Though... people keep telling me to ignore haters and whatnot, but I don't have any. It keeps getting brought up with no context which is a bit confusing. It seems as though there is this odd backlash against negative commentators, that has spilled into the norm of what to say.

I'm liking the sound of this.

I would so far say that you should stick to trance, but this track sounded really good to me. I usually don't check out the WIP or Demos as I can't purchase stuff online and therefore I won't want to get tempted to doing so while listening to the shorter versions. Note that I'm not trying to be a jackass by not buying songs of Newgrounders, but it's just that I'm simply not old enough yet. Also, my money will start flooding out of my account if I don't limit myself when I get the ability to actually buy stuff through the webs. I'm definitely dl'ing this one. I love this and your trance stuff. And there was this song where I said something about the intro being kinda in the way(not in this one obviously), it wasn't because it was long, which I'm used to. It just got kinda boring in a way, if that makes sense for you at all. Sorry for saying this in THIS review though, but that's what happens when you can't respond to the Author's Response >.< Oh well, sorry for the way too long review. Again, lurve da song :] Have a nice day, and as a lot of people probably say; keep doin yo thang ;D
